Base was made with cork and sand. Painted brown and finished with MIG pigments, and GW snow.

Both are undeniably very nice. Personally, however, I think they both could have done with some chipping and dust around the feet. Not much, or it would look out of place given the pristene condition of the rest of the armour, but just a little chipping and a hint of dust in the crevices of the foot armour, just to show they have been walking on the rocky ground that is evident in the bases.
