So i like how blood angels play but i don't like them thinking the emperor is a god. I was thinking paint them like chaos and use blood angel rules. But my brother who plays chaos dos not want me to have the same army as him (lore wise) what do you think i should do.

Ok so i have created a new third party of space marines. PS: you need to now flesh terrer lore to now what I'm talking about. so a group of flesh terrers grow tired from lack of battle because no one has needed there help in a long time so they go rogue and will fight any one. but will still work with people. and when any space marine has a huge blood lust there banished to join there ranks.

there armor is flesh terrer armor without the markings and i cant think of a name for them yet.

please comment in a nice way thank you.

Krieg! What a hole...

Tell him to bug off and play what you want?

You'll have different rules than him, so its not like you will be playing the same army as him.

You can claim their chaos. You can paint them differently. But you will still be playing blood angels.

Paint them as the Lamenters chapter.

Perhaps play a blood angels successor that does not view the emperor as a god? If you can't find one that you like, make one up. I think that would be a better solution than going chaos.

Do the Blood Angels revere the Emperor as a God or just as the mightiest of men, like many other of the First Founding?

Why not, it's not like Chaos Warbands don't fight each other all the time anyway.

What God does he play?

No pity, no remorse, no shoes

No.

Lamenters are more badass. If I was to ever play as an imperialist dog I would play lamenters. Only orks have better fluff.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Blood Angels don't view the Emperor as a god. The chapters who do are rather explicitly mentioned as such (such as the Black Templar and the Fire Angels). Most chapters simply respect him but don't follow the teachings of the Ecclesiarchy and the Imperial Creed directly.

It does depend on the Chapter, certainly. Even if the Blood Angels did it's not a lot of work to make up your own Blood Angel successor who thinks the Ecclesiarchy is full of crap; it'd certainly create some internal conflict with other Imperial forces, but it's entirely plausible in the context of the fluff.

My Dark Angels successor Chapter is led by a fellow who's been around since the Heresy, so I suppose they wouldn't be quite as reverent as others, but I never really thought about that aspect of things...
