I finished the core section for a modular and magnetic Imperial Guard piece last night. I refined the concept I originally introduced in my Massive, Modular, and Magnetized Terrain Concept post. I will post a few more WIP pictures soon, in the mean time enjoy the video.

Here are a few more WIP pictures. These are more recent.

I finished the four main towers:

I also finished the four small towers for the modular ramps/platforms that extend from the sides:

Best of all I finished the first magnetized platform. Check out how it all comes together:

I finished the ramps and smaller towers today. The fabrication is pretty much done, now time for some paint.

That's pretty great, the magnetised walkways and supports would be so perfect for Necromunda. The layout you have gone for looks a bit like a Swastika, but apart from that, love it. Will you add more sections?

That looks amazing! Great centerpiece for any game table. I love the modular aspect of the whole thing, give you lots more flexibility with it. Now get painting that beast!

Really cool. Reminds me of a multiplayer level from Halo or something similar. I like how everything fits together so well!

This was built as a commission so it will be up to the client if he wants more pieces in the future. I plan to make all the measurements before I ship it out, so if he wants additional sections I will be able to make more.

I like the Halo multiplayer idea. Maybe for my next project I will base it on a building in Halo.

Here is a video that shows how the terrain can be reconfigured.
The floor sections can act like a drawbridge that can be activated when you control an objective. You will see what I am talking about near the end of the video.

I finished the chipped paint effect and started to add some weathering using washes. Water streaks from the rivets will be next.

Wow, this is really a great piece of terrain. And the paintjob is also fantastic.

Been working on finishing the tops of the towers and the modular floor sections.

It has been a while since I did any sceneries. This is giving me the urge to build some more in the future. Great job on a well done subject.

I purchased a large Hexagon Perforated Aluminum sheet for this project. As a result I have more than I could use. I have listed the extra material on EBay is anyone is interested. You can cut it with a rotary cutter and a straight edge. It takes about the same effort to cut as mat board.

Click here for my EBay listing for the Perforated Aluminum Panel
