Hey guys.. I need some help. I have a $200.00 off coupon type thing and I'd like to get a computer from Amazon.

I've looked around tons and I'm a little overwhelmed because so many things are similar. I used to own a nice Alienware that I got back in 2003. It has kept up with the times but the mechanical parts all 'went to sleep' after many years. I have a few in mind but at the moment I am reading mixed reviews on every product I inspect.

Could you guys recommend a desktop computer for me? I'd like to drop less than 800.

I need it to play DoW2, Rift, Guild Wars 2, Skyrim and Company of Heroes on max graphics.

Thanks for any input. I'd build it myself if I had the time.

Get the speics for the most power hungry game on your list (skyrim)

then source the separate parts that exceed that, if you use multple suppliers it is often cheaper than a prebuilt machine.

You need to read the specs of what you are looking at and then post them here. I doubt you will find a prebuilt computer with perfect reviews anywhere.
If you want a gaming computer that runs all the latest games at max setting then you need to look at CPUs and Graphics Cards.
To run high performance parts you need to have a good powersupply and a bit of RAM. A good motherboard doesn't hurt anything and a nice case with cooling options will make it even better.

If you go with AMD, get the 8core CPU and impress all your friends. Look at the fastest MHz you can find at your core level that you can afford.
Radeon makes Graphics Cards that work great with AMD chipsets. Get the card with the highest number that you can afford. Don't forget to compare specs between cards and you might find a deal.
You should have 8 gigs of RAM. If you want, you can look at the types of RAM speed and try to figure out what the best number is. Go with what is most common is my advice. This shouldn't be a problem.
Asus makes great motherboards. So do other companies. I like Asus.
Power supplies are very important but often overlooked when purchasing. I have 750 watts and I haven't had a problem on Max settings. Wattage varies so take a look at it and then compare products based on Watts.

Otherwise you can look into Intel and Nvidia but they will cost you in cold hard cash.
