On the forge world site, tyranid page there's a ram thing that goes in the carnifexs' carapace. I'm going to get one for a friends' birthday, maybe dor myself later too.

I believe all the FW biomorphs are found in the IA book The Anphelion Project.

Last I checked the ram carapace is actually used to make the Stone-Crusher Carnifex in Imperial Armor Apocalypse; it's fundamentally just a plain old close-combat Carnifex that can wreck buildings if you're using the Cityfight rules.

Believe it or not, it's something from the 4th edition Tyranid codex that was not on the Carnifex sprue. It's the Thornback carapace option. The Stonecrusher Carnifex required the Thornback option, and since GW didn't put it in the kit (I think it was the only option not in the kit), they made it.

Kind of. It's a meleefex. While it gets bonuses on damage tables, it has some other things to set it apart. It's downfall is it has a single set of Crushing Claws and nothing else. However, it's also the only way to have a Carnifex anymore with a 2+ save (it gets that standard), and it also gets regeneration standard which rerolls 1's.

What is this damage table bonus?

The vehicle damage table. It also applies to buildings.

I mean the bonus Thornback Carapace gives to it. I know what the damage table is.
