So i tried to use a malediction from a landraider. I thought i could because it is not a psychic shooting attack so it doesnt need to use an access point. Just a clear line of sight from the landraider. MY opponent says i was wrong, But i looked in the rules and it doesnt say anything about needing a firepoint to use a Malediction.
Who was right here.

If a power doesn't specify specifically that it doesn't require line of sight then it does, and you have no line of sight within a vehicle. For that matter firing ports also don't give line of sight for any non shooting powers(blessings or maledictions)

Q: Can Psykers use a Transport’s Fire Point(s) to manifest powers that require line of sight whilst still embarked? (p78)
A: No.

Kind of related... If they can't do it with a Fire Point then I imagine they can't do it without one.

It's okay pal

When you approach someone and bring it to their attention that you've made a mistake in past games they usually respect you more for it

So nothing negative here

In the group I'm in we all go by the "fight after the game" rule. If it isn't clear and proof provided right away it's a roll off. Just keep an iPad with Dakka close by
