So an SM sergeant can take a teleport homer, how do you model this? Do you just afix the terminator teleport homer to a base and have it follow the sergeant around?

It has a carrying handle, so could have him lug it around. Maybe cut it down in size a bit if needed. Another alternative is to just take some bits from it and stick on him backpack or something, or just give his backpack a large antenna or a small dish or something. I doubt anyone will argue from a WYSIWYG point of view as long as it looks like he has some extra fancy comms equipment.

I've always imagined the teleport homers as cylinders with carrying handles, so I'd convert a melta-bomb and give it to the sergeant.

The official terminator teleport homer does seem a little awkward to lug around, even wearing termy armour It would be amusing to convert a marine to carry it, if you can do so without it looking silly.

Other options:

I agree a converted melta-bomb would be good, so long as you also have a suitable marine arm to carry it.

Or a converted auspex (fits a standard left bolter arm, as I recall).

Or add an electro-thingy to the top of a backpack, i.e. as a semipermanent part of his armour? Or indeed a completely customised backpack, sort of a comms equivalent of the heavy weapons backpacks?

Or if you'll only use it for some games, then yes, putting it on a separate base is the easiest option of all.

Or don't model it and just inform your opponent that he has one linked into his comms array.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
