Hi guys,

I was wondering how close Mournfang or VGC Beasty brown is to GW Bestial Brown. Obviously GW does not make Bestial Brown anymore hence why I am asking! The conversion chart they made is pretty much BS so before I go buy some Mournfang or Beasty I'd like to hear a confirmation that one is damn close to the same.

Thanks!

Casey

May the WAAC and pretzels be with you.

I found that P3 Bootstrap Brown, and Battelfield Brown have been amazing as replacements for Bestial Brown. I have like 5-6 from Vallejo and Reaper but I keep coming back to these two.

edited for better grammar.

I was glad to find this topic as I use Bestial Brown to edge all the bases of my figures. I'm not quite out of my supply but I was beginning to wonder what to use next so thanks!

Beasty Brown is intended as a match, and while I haven't tried it yet, others I've tried in the Game Color range have been pretty darn good.

I found the coverage on the beasty brown lacking... YMMV

Really? Wow. IME Vallejo usually need to be thinned more than other paints, if anything.

Mine too, the majority of my paints are Game and Model Color and I love them.

I don't know if i have a one off bottle or what, the only good thing is it lead me to the P3 browns.

Mournfang Brown is not a 100% match, but you *really* have to look to see the difference IMO.
