Hey Guys,

Here is my finalized Khorne World Eaters 2000pt CSM list... what do you think?

Basically the tactic is Daemon Prince and Maulerfiends Run around smashing the big threats in close combat and distracting fire off of my other units, the bikers hunt the large vehicles, the Lords jump in the Land Raiders with the berzerkers and smash anything off of the opponents objectives and the Cultists sit behind the agis defence line and hold my objectives. The only thing it is lacking is anti air support but my tactic with fliers is to basically ignore them. kill everything on the ground and you have a pretty good chance of winning the game regardless of what the enemy fliers are doing. The lord/kharne and berzerker combo works well because now that chaos players mush issue and accept challanges it allows me to perform the challange with the naked berzerker champ and then my lord with his 6 + D6 attacks can mop up the rest of the enemy squad (saves you wasting all of those attacks in a crappy challenge with an IG captain or something equally lame.)

oh and before anybody asks im using double FOC because i play at 2000pts so the 3 HQ choices and 4 Heavy Support is perfectly legal

i must of missed something in the new rulebook. i thought the 2nd force org had to be from a different codex? plus you are a point over. not so much a problem with a friendly game, but not allowable in tourneys.

but aside from that, your zerkers could use a power weapon, VotLW is a great investment with all the other marine players andthe ADL could use a quad gun or atleast the big laser. so so many points invested in the HQs. that really the way to go?

nah you can take an allied detachment from a different codex in any size army but at 2000pt you can take double FOC from the one codex. I didn't bother giving the zerker champ a PW because the Lord's ride with them and usually that is more than enough PW attacks. you might be right about the over investing on HQ but I'm a sucker for a khorne lord...

interesting..... that just made my imperial fist army a valid idea. How did i miss that???

anywho, back to this list. I cant argue with taking those HQs. They are big, bloody and mean. But again, thats sinking alot of points and i dont think any of them are eternal warriors. personally, i would drop the prince. Hes cruel, but is as much as a LR. I would drop him and with the points, put your lord on a jugger to run with the bikes, pump up a unit champ that wont get a lord to make up the PW attacks, give everyone VotLW and maybe a drake. take from the cultists if you need points. right now the whole army would leave them behind as everything is either flying or mounted, they will spend most of their time running to catch up. Granted they are objective holding awesomes for going to the gorund, but maybe not so many. if you can find the points, upgrade the ADL. otherwise you really should take a drake. its a flyer, plus just really rounds out the army nicely.

Well, lets see... Last 2 games his lord and kharne did nothing at all and just got mopped up by shooting.
Last game Kharne got overwatched and instajibbed by a multimelta attack bike hahaha
then again 2 games isnt really enough to see if these guys are good or not especially cos he has never seen them in combat.
I totally agree though that it is overkill, a prince and 1 lord is plenty.
As for the 1 point over I always give him flakk over that but at the end of the day it is just a friendly game even though I go to the trouble of making all my 5 armies spot on 2000
Plus other than the extra lord he isn't really benefiting from the double foc. I like the power weapon or fist on his champs better especially because he mostly vs meganobs, bikes or dreads. seems like the extra powerfist is a no brainer really.

I don't really see why you have an ADL when it doesn't have a gun emplacement and you don't really have anything, apart from the cultists, to stand behind it. If you are planning on standing the cultists behind it, I'd lose the flamers. I could be wrong but I don't really see them flaming much if they're stood at the back. I'd try to find points for a quad gun for a bit of AA if you're intent on keeping the ADL. Also, I hope you've put loads of skulls on the ADL

Perfect Idea for this army.

Drop a Kharne or the Lord preferably Kharne imo
Drop the Defense Line.
Add a Squad of termies and the 2nd raider is taken as their dedicated transport.

You can still just deepsrike the termis with meltas if thats what you want, then use their raider for the bezerkers.

I actually had a very similar idea to that last night... the last 2 games the champs did get wasted but they where in rhino's because it was a different list, i reckon the land raiders will make the lords and berzerkers much much more efficient

Uh?, dirgecaster are some of the worst investments there rather have some meltabombs on the champs, a LR literally need to be inside the avg charge range with the unit for them to work.

Regarding the list, yeah, drop the lord, keep the DP and kharn, maybe even change the weapon on the DP for the axe if you are already making it a khorne daemon give him the weapon so that he gets rage, the black mace is fine however remember that MEQ will only be affected on rolls of 5/6 by it, rather have 7 attacks+D6 on the charge at str8 which would instakill most models without the need of a silly test.

So you are saying its bad to have the enemy not get overwatch when your melee army charges? Personally id rather not be shot at if I was charging guys with guns

No he's saying that it's not going to work. The dirge caster only has a 6" range, which means the Land Raider has to be right on top of the unit it's passengers are charging. Dirge casters are one of those things that sound great on paper, but are rarely pulled of on the tabletop.

Guys you should know that a lot of people DON'T LOOK KINDLY on double FOC armies. Personally I think it's completely awesome and should be treated as part of the game but the hobby as a whole doesn't seem to be quite ready for it yet.

On the subject of dirge casters, I think it's a sound investment for 5pts on a 230pt land raider. Especially when you're filling it with berzerkers as AP3 flamers seem to be getting more common.

It doesn't just affect the passenger's target. When every unit in your army is trying to get in CC, and you have two very large vehicles with the 6in bubble, I promise it will be benefitting more than just the guys inside.

Says the guy that complains about vsing fliers LOL!

Plus double foc and allies arent all that. I have 4 armies currently.
2 of those use double foc and 1 uses allies but purely for theme reasons not to be uber competitive yet they
still all are extremely good armies that can all take out anything thrown at them.
Funny how the most competitive army out of all mine is definately the one that doesnt use double foc or allies.

Dirge Casters are great on Rhinos, but not so on Landraiders. Your paying extra points for the threat range - taking a Dirge Caster will put you in a position where you'd rather not take advantage of that range.

On Rhinos, you can disembark the turn before the charge, then manuever the Dirge Caster where you need it the next turn. Since you have no Rhinos, no Dirge Casters necessary.

what do people reckon would work better in this list
A. 20 chosen with 2 flamers
B. 5 marines in a rhino with a flamer
its roughly the same in points and i cant decide which i would prefer..... rhino makes the squad invulnerable to small arms fire and increases the units speed in case i need to rush and grab an objective.. on the other hand the cultists out number the marines 4:1 and adds some serious head count to the list. cultists work great for bogging down enemies as it would take say a dreadnought and entire game to get through that many models.....
