Can someone who has the model of the ForgeFiend (in a standard pose) tell me if it gets 25% coverage from an Aegis line? And also, how tall (inches or cm) is the model? I'm going to be scratchbuilding my own for a Pre Heresy army, so I want to know how the real model will interact. Thanks!

Depends on who youre playing and how they determine 25%. In terms of silhouette id say yes, but far more of models mass wont be covered.

Also, the forgefiend didnt exist pre-heresy.

That's why I'll be converting it! Iron Warriors theme, so a dreadnaught Sarcopogus (I just know that's spelled wrong...) mounted on a rhino Chasis, with trimming to make it smooth and roughly the right height.

Dreadnoughts and regular transports just squeeze in the 25% to get the save. Defilers and Land Raiders are too big. I would place the Fiends in the "too big" category....consider also it uses the same base as a Trygon and Dreadknight models, which are also much to big to claim the save.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

I am going to be converting mine too although I am using the sisters of battle peninentant engine. It is taller than a dread but has less mass, or correctly putting it volume. Will have to see what I can do when I get around to it.
