I recently picked up 40 Bloodletters, a Bloodthirster, and Daemon prince for an allied force to play with my CSM and I'm looking for some tips or suggestions on what models would be better, and what upgrades to take? I would like to stick with Khorne, I know everyone is spraying their pants about the Tally combo with CSM, but I'm not interested. Any thoughts?

I think you've got a good allied force there. In my big games (close to 3,000 points) I take a thirster, 2 units of letters, a unit of crushers and a grinder as allies for my CSM.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

I run:
bloodthirster unholy might for that +1 str of instakilling t4 (not just on the charge) and vehicle wrecking love, and blessing of blood god.

plaguebearers ( no help there for ur k marked boys) i really dont rate the bloodletters- i dont c them getting into melee much as there just gonna get swatted whenever they land- depends on the point range tho- at 2.5k+ i think most armies will reliably be able to handle 40 t4 5++ wounds. Heck just an overwatch will thin these fellas out... No good for anything with a 2+ as the hellblades or whatever they are called are now only AP3.Though i do think there better in 6e with the possible 12" charge so... maybe ill rethink them...

3 bloodcrushers- cheap choppie fun- do what your bloodletters are spose to do but better but dont score ( as said sif ur BLs will be around at the end of the game).

and

Deamon Prince Flight, iron hide, mon, cloud of flies, noxious touch- if i was gonna run a khorne dp id take the flight and iron hide off to and keep it super cheap.

I was thinking about using a Skulltaker on Chariot to fit in with my Khorne lord on Juggernaut and bikes, but I may put him on a Juggernaut too and run him with blood crushers to hide him.

I wouldn't worry too much about the tally list. I'd expect it not to survive the next daemon book. Which should drop in 4-6 months. No use wasting a lot of money on useless nurgle daemons.

The khorne theme is nice, but tactically screamers and flamers are ridiculous. They open up some really interesting tactics with deepstriking, pavane, turbo boosting, and wall of flame overwatch shots. For that 270 or whatever you spend on the blood thirster you can get a couple solid units.

In your squads, doing the chainsword tango

My best success with bloodletters was blocks of them or they flail. like 10-15 of the buggers. Even if only 3-4 survive to make it into a squad or marines, they tend to eat up those marines anyway. T4 5++ isn't much to chew through.

+1 to giving bloodthirster Blessing and might. In an allied list he does require a bit of thought for the deepstrike, you'll want to make sure you present enough targets to the enemy so he doesn't get focused down. On the bright side, he has wings, so you don't *have* to DS him near the enemy- using that mobility is key to effective facesmashing with the thirster

This was my thought as well. Why buy all the Nurgle daemons when they'll be changed and the "combo" doesn't work anymore? The list itself can be flimsy since it relies on keeping one model alive.

I had thought about Flamers, they are interesting, and may get them if I decide to expand my daemon collection.
