i Use the Agrax eartshade wash on my figures after they are painted. im getting two results from it, sometimes it makes my figures glossy and shiney (which i want) and uther times it makes the colors matte and even duller. Whats with the inconsistencies? I need advice and help desperately, its causing my men to look different

Hey

try buying 3 pots, mixing the contents of all 3, and use the result. that way you have a large supply that is all consistant.

Devlan Mud did that too on one of my minis so it can't be just a thing with Agrax. Maybe use a tony bit of diluted varnish/'Ardcoat?

the Citadel shdes are supposed to be dull and matt finish. The times you got the desirable glossy look are the mistake. At a guess, applying too thickly gives gloss.
If you want shine, I reccomend purchasing some artists glaze, or gloss medium to make glossy shades and washes. Or some gloss varnish.
