I have grown bored of my cadian and since i have allways played them as urban fighting i was think that i should just paint them in a new color schem.

But the i have no idea on what colors would look good on them.
I was thinking on white armor with gray or black on the clothes.

any advice for or against this idea is most welcome

sorry for the lack of english skills

I alwasy think of grey when I think urban fighting.

If your a scenery maker and have a set painted up then maybe match that so your models do look like they are specially kitted out for that battle field.

The only note of concern I would add it to ensure a decent spot colour is used to that the models are not just a dark blob with skin and the top. Red is my personal choice, but thats because I like painting it!

Urban camo is typically grey, grey-blue, black and white. Here are some I painted for a commission a while ago:

I painted their armor Adeptus Battlegrey and their fatigues Codex Grey. I then added flecks of Shadow Grey and black to their fatigues before washing the whole model with Badab Black. I put in flecks of white after the fact. Thankfully, the gas mask heads (these are from Pig Iron) had goggles that I could paint for a decent spot color.

I agree that grey and black will get the look like a just a undercoat so i wanted to get some color into them.
Thats why i think that with armor could look good even being a bitch to paint

Using a camo scheme helps you use simple colours without it looking too much like an undercoat only. I did a similar scheme tio Brother SRM, except I used black as a base coat. Full block white armour kinda works against the idea of camouflage, unless the architecture favours solid white buildings, which could happen I guess. Very mediterranean

You can still shade the base-coat as normal and then stick on your disruption pattern. Popping colours are restricted to weapons and sensors in my scheme.
