I have never played in a tournament setting before, and wonder what its like not only playing in a tournament but being in one. What have you guys experienced from playing in a tournament environment?

Players are stricter on rules and stuff; less social due to time constraints; players will try to beat you as best as they can with lists completely optimized.

I love them. It's amazing competition.

Enjoyed them all, pretty much, bar one or two events round the UK

Met precisely 4 TFG over the last few years (sadly same one twice as well) however the *vast* majority of players in well organised tournaments are people out to have fun games, meet new people and see some cool armies

I always aim for middle - e.g. 5 games i would like to come out with 2 W, 2 L and 1 D, or roughly thereabouts.
