Hello everyone.

I recently got back from The War Store Weekend in New Jersey ( just barely dodged sandy ) and while I was there I picked up a few weathering pigments.

I got a rust color, a dark earth color, a black, and a dark metallic from secret weapon minis.

I am loving using them and this is my first attempt at a muddy rusty looking metal.

I would love some advice from those of you who have more experience than I do, Thanks

Now for the Pics:

Nice! I'd prefer a little orange dashed in there to brighten it up a tad and break it up a bit, but that's just personal preference.

greenskin lynn: because of all the skittles and soda, you basically live off sugar water, like some sort of freakish human-hummingbird hybrid.

Looking good, i think that when doing rust, having two shades or more really makes it pop.

Looks great, I'd maybe tone it down a bit (even though it's Orks). More is less, with weathering. Unless you want your Orks to look like they were mud-wrestlin with a squig

I agree I need to tone it down and add variation, I was just seeing how rusty I could make it I am going to pick out the parts that would not rust, like the teeth edges on the saw.

I feel bad for the Nob. He's totally rusted in place.
I can hear him now...

Looks pretty good, but I'm more of a less is more guy, so if I'm weathering, I tend to keep things to the joints and all. Good start though!

... perhaps a stupid question, but...
I've been looking at weathering stuff lately (not entirely sure what I'd use them on, but I feel that I should expand my range of techniques), and looking at this, it begs the question: are these things just raw pigment without the liquid medium to make it a paint?
I have some raw pigment for painting, and just occurs to me whether I could use them for the same purpose...?
