Taking good pictures of these things is almost as hard as painting them.

First time using pigments and oil wash. Partially magnetized. Interior fully painted.

If the picture taking was hard, you've definitely mastered the art. Some pictures are a bit shadowy/reflective, but some (eg. the first picture) are perfect.

The paintjob looks great. Such variety in the weathering really makes the vehicle look like it has been through hell.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

A superb paint job, definitely something to be proud of! However, two things of note: a nasty mold line running down the arm of the marine manning the gun and said marine should have black skin (according to the fluff, Salamanders have black skin and red eyes).
Otherwise, fantastic work!

Whoops...missed that mold line. I don't actually play the game and don't follow the rules of painting to match the official standard too closely but in this case, he is an albino.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Very nice indeed - how are you applying the powder, and what are you using to fix it in place?

Most of the rust pigment was applied using a Q-tip/cotton swab. I dipped one end in water and dabbed model, the other end in pigment and again applied to slightly wet area. Once its on, it on but matte varnish over everything to hold for sure.

Black and rustry streaks were oil washes with mineral spirits over gloss varnish.

All of the chipping was done with sponge from a blister pack. An HB pencil was used on edges of armour to give it a bit of worn metal sheen. The pencil method might be nice way of highlighting black if you dont want to blend with grey.

Mud was mix of pigment, dark brown paint, and water. Applied with a brush and sprayed onto model by putting some on a toothbrush and thumbing the bristles.

The heated metal "stains" on the gun barrels was done by applying thin bands of very watered down purple, blue, orange, and yellow. They were then brushed with some black pigment to blend the transitions together.

Very well done. Really made the vehicle display the real wear from the field.
