Hey guys. Back in July I ordered a subscription to white dwarf. Last month should have been when I received my first issue, but it never arrived. I called Gw and they informed.me.that he mag was sent out, but they added another to.the tail end of my subscription, due to them being sold.out and unable to send me another. So now it is November 2, and I have still not received this months mag. I am planning on calling them again Monday to just cancel the whole thing and get my money back, but I would like to know, to those of you with a subscription in the USA, when you generally receive your subscription in the mail?

I just get one from my local gaming store if and when something interests me. The subscription model is gak IMO and when they make a limited run of something that has game changing rules in it, it makes me even more furious when they refuse to make more of that issue or make it generally available in another medium.

After picking up the November issue in store, I subscribed this week. It looks like they sent me out the November issue immediately. Now I need to get in contact with them and get it sorted out, because I don't need two of November, and I want an actual 12-month sub... but it's like pulling teeth getting through to GWAU these days.

I also subscribed in July (8th), & did not receive my WD yet. Called towards the beginning of September & was told that my first issue would be the November issue. Hoping it arrives on Monday (the 5th). I'm in the US if that counts for anything.

Also wondering if the two year subscription that I began in July will still be the same total cost & # of issues after they increased the price. The July subscription was for the older (and cheaper price).

WOops I spoke too soon- my first WD showed up in the mail about 3 hours after the above post.

....since they ceased the interesting content, raised prices and stopped giving out free stuff with your subscription.

Seriously though keep on the phone to them, right them an email, they are usually very apologetic about this kind of thing and chances are you might get a load of free stuff.

When I had one, on average, it was about 4 days after it hit the newstands.
Sometimes it was longer, sometimes it never arrived (I greet the postman every day as I am a stay-at-home-hubby, so it's not a case of it being stolen from the mailbox), sometimes it was the day before.

I'm disappointed that it took five replies to elicit a sarky comment about WD.
