Opinion...
Had a TFG come to the house as an invite to play with our group. He got there. He ews rude, cussed at tge guys playing, didnt bring any snacks. On top of all this he rolled a one got MAD and threw his tape measure. In turn breaking to bits my 30 hoir. LR job. I told him to get out. He cussed me. At that point I grappled him to the ground, dagged him outside and three his stuff outside. Hr cslled and apologized and wants to come back. Any words of advice?

Seriously, otherwise: Your house, your rules. "Never darken my doorstep again" works well. You could apprise him of said rules (be polite, no throwing stuff, and all that. Any breach and bamf, out on your arse.)

Let him come back. If he acts the same way again, murder his family.

If your story is an accurate representation of events then I'm not sure why you'd even consider allowing him back considering that you physically removed him from your house. If he was intolerable to the point of having to drag him from your home then I find it hard to believe you'd even ask, unless there are details you're not revealing.

There is a TFG thread 5 or 6 posts below this one. You couldn't be bothered to spend 5 seconds checking the forum and avoid posting dublicate threads?

Yup, maybe to me people creating duplicate threads are up there with TFG's. So why not lost about that in one of our two TFG threads.

Duplicate threads are shut down in News and Rumors, and having multiple threads on the same topic leads to people spreading out, and maybe not seeing 1 topic, and starting a second one when it's not needed, this leads to confusion, bad discussion (since people are already answering 1 thread and not the other, etc...)

So it does behoove users to check for duplicate threads. I've had plenty of threads in N&R closed because someone beat me to the punch.

It happens, and it a general policy of the site to not duplicate or necro threads. If there was a thread about TFG stories that was 3 months old or older, then yes the OP would have been fine starting a new thread, but we've got three in Dakka Discussions... This one, TFG stories, and Horrible Sportsmanship which was about sportsmanship but has turned more to TFG...

This story sounds sounds like BS.

For me it's the ton of spelling errors that actually make it somewhat hard to read, and in my head sounds like he's got on an overnite retainer.

Than it's the duplicate post on the same page, but I get ya.

However I'm not sure if polite is required, after all he's a tackler. That's assault, a crime in the USA. So who do we need to be polite to? The one who is assaulting people in his own home or the one who came over only to get tackled and tossed out?

Honestly though. Your house your rules, I don't let douches in mine. I'd advise the same.

Never invite someone into your home to play unless you've played them at the game store and/or spent considerable time talking to them.

Yes. This one is better, .why does it matter if there is more than one thread in 3 days they will be down the bottom of the page of dakka discussions , and lets face it most often after 2 or 3 pages most threads on dakka are completely de-railed. No need to get your knickers in a twist about multiple threads because most of the ones already there willl usually be a bitchfight between 2 or 3 people.

Thread terminated. Not only is there an existing thread where this could be discussed, but also Dakka does require that posters put forth at least a modicum of effort on spelling and grammar.
