I am about to split two starter boxes with a friend, I am hoping to make a mid war Heer infantry company from the eastern front.

I would like idealy to be able to use the same models for both late and mid as opponents preffer. From what I can tell the main problem is the platoon and and company HQ's change, in mid they are smg/panzerknacker teams in late smg/panzerfaust. My current plan is to have a replacement set of command stands to swap in however to do this I would need to aquire nine(?) panzerknacker small base command stands. Can anyone recomend an optimal way of doing this as it would require 3 company command blisters and discarding most of the contents.

Your opponent might be cool with you proxying the panzerfausts as panzerknakers? They are just minor command team option differences. Its not like you are using them as a completely different stand type. I know I wouldn't mind, and most of the gamers I know wouldn't see it as a major problem either.

Just buy them from another manufacturer for example Peter Pig http://www.peterpig.co.uk/PPGAssEng.jpg.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Check with your local group and see what they're cool with, you might not have to swap stands. You could also just magnetize the Panzerfaust and Panzerknacker figures and swap the individuals out but use the same stands.

Late war usually has options for either faust or panzernacker, so you can use the latter option in both periods anyway.

Also, Panzerknacker models are available as special order through battlefront, so you wouldn´t have to get that many blisters.

Hey, wanna do some trade? Seeing that you are in UK, it might be not very P&P costs prohibitive and I am almost sure that I have several spare panzerknackers.

Looking to trade away 15mm Forged in Battle Pumas (still in the box).

I'm trying to wrap my head around magnetizing individual 15mm figures. My google-fu has also failed me in finding a tutorial, does anyone know of one?
Heck, even a good description would be nice.

Yeah, that's correct. Although really, in the case of Panzerfausts or Panzerknackers, you probably don't really even need to do it. I mean, Panzerfausts aren't even an option in MW, so I don't really see how anyone would be confused if you counted them as Panzerknackers. They're so small, most people probably wouldn't even notice if you didn't tell them anyway.
