Blood Angel testers piece for Heresy force

I'm still in the planning stages with my Heresy force. There isn't much information about the marks of armour the Blood Angels wore, organizational markings, fetishes nor artistic flourishes added to reflect the legion. The yellow helmet for example is a mandate from the codex astrates that may or may not have been present during the heresy.

Pleasant problems to have.

I look forward to any comments!

The paint looks good but there's something wonky about his pose. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Also, if you want information on Heresy-Era Blood Angels, read Fear To Tread.

Superb job, well done. So it's just another 9,999 guys to go?

This aside is there much stuff in the Collected Visions book for reference? Anyway it doesn't matter, yellow helm or not, as he's quality

Thanks for sharing.

It might be that the model is looking down and his arm is lined up to be shooting where he is looking but the gun is attached in such a way to be out of alignment.

Cheers for the feedback guys. It's really motivational reading through your messages. I'll post up pictures of the start of the project when I get my first chunk of models from forgeworld.

In the mean time the model is in the gallery and I'd appreciate your votes on this, or any of my other pieces.

Nice job, but the armor mark is completely wrong for heresy era.

Superbly painted! I love the muted colours. If you could share your paint scheme i would be in your debt!

That is a beautiful paint job, but the armour is a bit too modern for the heresy era. You could probably get away with it on a few models in an army, but purists are going to raise eyebrows! Fantastic work though, I'd hate for you to change it.

Very nice chipped paint effect, looks very realistic. Almost looks like he is literally a veteran piece and thats just wear and tear of years of play lol.
