Hi all.

I typed this whole thing up in Word and converted it to PDF as it was easier to lay out,

1850 points of my necrons against the IG / Corteaz. Both armies were fully painted and WYSIWYG

*EDIT*: managed to attach thePDF

Cheers
Neal

Two very nice armies duking it out on a well made board! I'm surprised it was such a one-sided game, but it seems that the mobility of that Necron army really stole the day.

Awesome battle report with well painted armies that are a little different from the norm.

Congrats on the win.

Question: Have the Tomb Blades made a resounding impact in the games they've played? I noticed here that they drew a significant amount of firepower and wanted to see if they manage to do that often.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Sorry to say but that was the first game of 6th ed I have played with the necrons so ... er .... they draw fire 100% of the time as far as i can see.

I spend most of my hobby time painting and building scenery and games are rather rare these days.

I'll definitely keep them in the list though. I thought I was playing against DE and the particle casters seemed like a good bet against blobs (and having the ID against T3 to ignore FNP seemed wise). As it turned out they worked supremely well against the mech IG and I think they could have threatened the side armour of the chimeras if I had got the chance.

In the end though they look great and at this point, that is all I ask of them.

Cheers

I really enjoyed that Battle Report. It was very nicely done. I never expected The Traveler to be that good vs mech. I hope to see more bat reps in the future.

Thanks man.

I built most of the army around trying him out. He had the chronotek to give him a reroll on his mind in the machine, a large units of warriors for ablative armour and a a night scythe to get him somewhere safe in turn 2. So it was a sizeable points investment but it turned out well in this case.

The idea was originally going to be to deploy him out of the scythe into ruins or deep cover and take my licks with the dangerous terrain check but in the end the way steph deployed was just too tempting and he ended up just sort of charging in to wreak havoc.

I missed out the bit where his tachyon arrow took out one of the basilisks but only because I got to reroll the to hit roll thanks to the chronotek... points well spent there!

I have a huge IG army and so Steph and I have scheduled a 2500pt tank battle which will definitely get the batrep treatment .

Cheers

I'm not; Necrons have their way with mech like no other.
