A competent tournament player challenged me to a 2,500 point game. I play Vampire Counts. He plays an orc army with ten chariots. Technically I think it's six chariots and four pump wagons. What VC army would you take against that?

Okay so screams are one way. Any others? Ethereals, flyers, etc?

Ethereals, flyers, black knights, and lots of zombies.
After the initial hit, characters are average at best.
Zombies are cheap enough to take those hits.

Or just run 10 wraith characters, all alone on foot, making a wall to screen the rest of your army.

That makes sense. After the impact hits, chariots go away.

Scream, hexwraiths, black knights, strigoi/vamp lord on flying mount, zombies, sword 'n board skellies, grave guard,

or, the easiest, just deploy everything five wide so his chariots can't multi charge things.

with flank protection of course.

OnG hit hard on the first round of combat due to the choppa rule I think. (Not sure if characters get it too).
