Howdy all,

After winning a couple tourneys using my eHexy, I'm thinking of reworking the list to keep it fresh. It worked pretty well, but it didn't work completely how I liked it to... Heres the old list:

eHexeris (-6)
- tiberion
- gladis
- bronzeback
- cyclops brute (bonded)
- basilisk krea
Max nihilators
Min beasthandlers
Agonizer
2x voidspirits
Extoller

What I liked: Loved the gladis, BB, Krea. These operated magnificently with hexy. The Aggy was awesome as well.

What I didn't like:
- Extoller saw very little use in this list in the games I played; I know shes there to help get around stealth, but honestly: how often will I directly sling a spell? As long as my 'node beast is close to my opponent then Stealth won't matter, right? Also, her abilities are nearly useless against the stuff you'd want it against facing WM armies...
- Nihilators were great at jamming... but with blackspot in the list, why would I need a zerking infantry unit? These guys dropped like a sack against AOE's.
- Tibbers was an OK deterrent, but not much else. Any hard hitting heavy generally kills him about as quick as a BB (Hyperion killed him, and a war hog did).
- Brute as a 'Node. Survivable. Not much else. Hits like a pillow, and his animi is very, very situational.
- Void spirits are great in scenerio games, but all my opponents had a magic unit that wiped the floor with them quickly. They can kill off solos like champs, but arcing Hellfire through a 'node can do the same thing...

So the things I'm thinking to change are below:

1) Swap Molik Karn in for Tiberion. Karn is a much bigger deterrent than Tibbers. While I only have Rush as a movement buff, its enough to give him a 11" charge, or 10" walking threat.
2) Swapping the Brute for a Shaman due to Karn being in now. This would be obviously my "yo-yo" 'node, but also provide me good debuff protection facing other simular armies.
3) Swapping the Nihilator unit for a Max Acuraii unit. Acuraii hit like a truck, and help clear lanes for 'Karn, or for a spell assassination. Also, with Blackspot, they can hammer an opponent.
4) Swap both Voidspirits out for a Gatormen Witch Doctor and max out my PGBH. This will give me more handlers, which is rad, and give my Acuraii tough and fearless.... not to mention no souls for cryx!
5) Swap the Extoller for a Bloodrunner Master Tormentor . I know hes not a "popular" choice, but god does he mulch infantry! He also has the protection that the Voidspirits didn't have through stealth.

So the new list, using these changes, would be:

eHexeris (-6)
- Molik Karn (5)
- gladis (8)
- bronzeback (10)
- cyclops shaman (5) (bonded)
- basilisk krea (4)
Max Acuraii (8)
Max beasthandlers (3)
Agonizer (2)
Gatormen Witch Doctor (3)
Bloodrunner Master Tormentor (2)

Hard hitting, super choppy, infantry mulching, lane clearing goodness....

Why did your void spirits need stealth? Are you facing a lot of magic shooting?

Everything you've got there makes sense to me on an individual level. There are some common themes in an eHexy list that are missing here (possibly on purpose). The Archidon is great for his arc node, because he's faster than anything else you have, and because he has flight. Also, def 14 heavies are very nice.

The other thing I feel is missing is ranged. Black spot is at it's best and brightest when you have some ranged attacks. It's too easy to kill yourself out of combat, even if you do have reach. Flayers + UA will decimate your opponent if they have a nice, big, black-spotted unit to shoot at.

As much as I love Nihilators, they aren't great for him. Likewise the Extoller. I love the Master Tormentor.

Overall, I think you have enough anti-infantry and anti-ARM...I just think you need some more anti-DEF, which the venators can supply via their CRA.

Aye, thats why I didn't like the voids; 2/3rds of my games generally are against magical shooting units (Ret, Circle, Menoth).

I agree with the blackspot, but VR + UA is very costly. While cutting the Acauraii + Gatordoc would make space, VR are useless in matchups with Stealthed units, while the Acuraii are a good all-comers unit (they hit like a truck in ranged and melee). Remember, Acuraii can pull the same CRA shenanigans as VR, but with a better RAT, higher POW, but less shots. I agree I need more anti-def, sadly its something skorne lacks (the Krea and Blackspot help against melee units, but ranged high def I just need to try and jam up)

Yeah, the only ways to combat high def I can think of for Skorne are: Flayers (3-4 combined = RAT 8/9), Blackspot, Ancestral Guardians/Hakaar...and...and...I'm sure there's something, isn't there? AOEs? No, not really...

Anyways, I can't say there's anything WRONG with your list, I just don't think I'd run them that way.

Oh, and Voids don't work too well anywhere within 11" of doom reavers, either. (I tried to keep him away...)

Yeah, I know I just like a more well rounded list, and with Karn in there, I feel Acuraii are better overall at clearing lanes for the big guy, or dragging things into kill range (light beasts/jacks, casters, etc.)
