1. In the CSM codex, it says Chaos Lords can take Power Weapons or Power fists. I was considering using a power maul after recently seeing a thread about how they're better than they seem. However, since the codex differentiates between fists and weapons... does weapons truly mean any power weapon, or just a AP3 bog standard power weapon?

TLDR : Can I take a power maul on my nurgle biker lord?

2. Does Concussive effect a whole unit if you cause a wound or just the wounded unit? Eg. If said biker lord smacked a space marine, killed him, would the concussion affect his squad mates?

3. With instant death weapons, does it negate the wound roll entirely, and only need to hit, or do you do the normal rolls then kill the model regardless of wounds? (I'm thinking second one).

4. Can a unit screen another unit if the firing unit is on say, a building? I'm thinking they wouldn't because they'd be firing over the screening unit.

Oh, and just to avoid another thread, do you feel a power maul would be any good on a Chaos Lord?

Any power weapon, be it axe, sword, mace, lance ( heh hadn't realized lance was an option.)

IIRC Concussive is per model basis

Still need to wound as normal.

True Line of Sight. If you're firing over the unit than over it is, if through than through.

2. No, per model.

3. No, you still have to roll to-wound.

4. If the models fire over the unit, they are not firing "Through" the unit. This is in the rulebook as well.

As for 1. I would presume you could take any "power weapon" listed as such in the rule book. So, Sword/Axe/Maul/Lance.

You still need o wound, and you still need to cause an unsaved wound. Reread ID - note it talks about an ***unsaved wound*** causing all remaining wounds to be lost

1. A power maul is a power weapon, just one that is club-like in shape.

2. Concussive affects the model, not the unit. If ot takes a wound and survives, its goes at I1.

3. Instant death weapon still need to roll for wounds.

4. Technically, yes, you can screen another unit like that. Don't expect to get away with it too often.

And why woukdn't a power maul be any good on a chaos lord? +2 S is nice, and if you hit the right chaos boon, you're up to strength 7!

S7 is usually irrelevant compared to S6, and high strength means a lot less you can't get passed enemy armour.

But assuming you aren't considering a Power Axe because of the Initiative penalty, the Maul is the best option for anything in 2+ armour, and the best option for anything in 4+ or less armour, the only time you can beat a maul with a lance or sword is against basic MEQ.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Ok. I forgot a question, so I'll ask it here to avoid making multiple threads. My plague marines have blight grenades, which count as both offensive and defensive. Does the bonuses apply automatically, or do I need to assign a marine to throw them?

Automatic. Everyone in the squad has them.
