Being the obsessive type, I tend to like to view conversations in their totality when looking at PMs, but at the moment that involves going in and out of messages and the inbox/outbox. Would Dakka be amenable to setting up a kind of 'thread view' for PMs to make this kind of thing easier?

Think i asked about this many moons ago but i could be wrong. I believe Lego added it to the list.

There was never any tracking of what PM was a reply to what in the past, so it was not possible beyond showing everything by person and by date. Since then I've added reply tracking, and viewing by PM as a thread style is a nice idea, so I've added it to the todo list.

This would be good. The only thing to stay away from would be what Facebook did when they made messaging so that all messages to each user are part of a single thread. I don't think that would be practical here either.
