Do you think that any type of alliance or simply working towards a common goal could occur between
the 13th company of the space wolves in the Eye of Terror and a Night Lords warband?

No - 13th are considered renegades who are hunting TS and NL are chaos SM...

ADB: I showed the Wolves revealing the key weakness at the heart of the World Eaters; showing Angron that his Legion was broken and worthless compared to the others; that he was the one primarch who couldn't trust his own warriors, and that they didn't care if he lived or died; showing that loyalty to brothers and sons is the heart of success for the Legiones Astartes, to the point even Lorgar makes a big deal out of saying the World Eaters and their primarch were massively outclassed by Russ, and Angron was too stupid to see the lesson Russ had sacrificed time, sweat, and blood, to teach. We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. They won, no question. Lorgar even says: "The Wolves won, meathead."

Dorn won’t help you either. He’s too busy being the Emperor’s groundskeeper, hiding behind the palace walls. The Wolf is too busy cutting off heads as our father’s executioner, while the Lion holds on to his secrets, and has no special fondness for you. Who else will come? Not Ferrus, certainly. Nor Corax either. Even as we speak, I suspect he flees for Deliverance. Sanguinius?’ Curze laughed cruelly. ‘The angel is more cursed than I. The Khan? He does not wish to be found. So who is left? No one, Vulkan. None of them will come. You are simply not that important. You are alone.’ Konrad Curze to Vulkan

Probably not, the Night Lords are pretty extremist, even if they aren't entirely corrupted by Chaos, and the 13th Company remains part of one of the friendlier Space Marine Chapters, I don't see the two working together.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

I wouldn't see any of the SW from the 13th company agreeing to this, for one they went into the eye of terror to hunt the TS. All the wolves from the 13th company i believe would be from the Horus Heresy and would more likely have a much more deep rooted hatred for all the traitor chapters than their current SW brothers.

Any SM who considers himself loyal to the Imperium would never side with a CSM

The 13th company were not aware of what happened at Istavaan however. GIven that they were not present during the majority of the Heresy they might have a different view of some other marines.

I am thinking of the night lords because at least some factions distance themselves from the Chaos gods and sorcery.

So given a chance of hunting down TS would elements of the 13th be willing to ignore the darkest nature of the Night Lords and form some sort of uneasy alliance?

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

The 13th company are made up of Space Wolves on a mission from their primarch and have fought chaos for an endless amout of time. It is very unbelievable that they would work with any chaos faction.

I'll add my bit of input and agree that it's incredibly unlikely that it could happen.

Even if we were to accept that the 13th Co didn't get ANY new intel for 10,000yrs, they did assist in the Eye of Terror campaign and were fully aware of who the enemies of the Imperium were then.

So, not a chance of 13th Co working with the NL, unless by working you mean rending them into strips of greasy traitor meat and ceramite.

The Wolves could be deceived if they thought the Night Lords were another chapter... That would be more likely if it were the Alpha Legion though, posing as a loyalist chapter.
