Can the Grey Knight Paladins continue to hold the table in our home games or will the Nurgle themed army sweep over them like a swarm of locusts?

Here comes round two of our household games loosely revolving around a campaign for Vogen and using a "winner holds the table" format. The Khorne themed army failed to best Draigo and his most loyal Knights in our previous report so they are defending this time against a tide of Nurgle themed infantry swarming out of the city hab blocks...

The Grey Knights:
-Draigo
-Librarian - MC Staff and Mastery 3
-2x5 Paladins (Apoth/Staff, 2 Pycannons, 2 Falchions, 2 Swords) (Apoth/Staff, 2 Incinerators, 2 Halberds, 2 Hammers)
-2 Stormravens with TLMM and TLAC
-2 Psyflman

The Trio of Bile (they have various nasty names, it's constantly evolving):
-Typhus
-Nurgle Prince with Wings, Mastery 1, Mutation, Ichor
-3x28 Plauge Zombies
-Heldrake with Baleflamer
-3 Oblits with MoN
-3 Oblits with VotLW
-(Allies) Great Unclean One with Cloud
-(Allies) 2x10 Plaugebearers with Icon, Touch, and Instrument

So, this time it's Mom/Son with the GK vs. Me and I have 96 FNP infantry backed up by Obits and MC's! What could go wrong...

Battle will be Saturday, hope to get the report up shortly after. In hopes of having usable pictures this time Wifey has been given photographic duties. Last time the public picked the Khorne horde but the Paladins held out, this time Chaos has a Dragon...

This battle will use 3 objectives (one worth 5 pts, 2 worth 3pts) plus Slay/First/Linebreaker for scoring if that helps your predictions.

Burgle us boss in this edition. He should have take epidemius and 2 squads of 5 plaguebears and dropped 3 obits for 5 havocs of nurgle and an aegis quad gun. The list would be ridiculous

What nice family time. Instead of going out and doing family things, you guys stay home to play 40K. Just awesome! Wished my wife would even want to watch me play 40K, let alone play it with me. Lol.

This is going to be a tough game for the knights but not impossible. The key to a GK victory, believe it or not, will be those dreads. Assault those zombies out of range of an objective (or within contesting range of the objectives) and they will have a chance to win it.

We do board games and war games on Saturdays. I get to pick once per month (resulting in 40k Saturday) the rest of the time someone else picks. Usually it's been Zombicide the rest of the time so this weeks battle is 40k using our Zombicide minis! Our other family activities are almost exclusively outdoor/travel stuff so it's a good balance.

Last minute generalship change... high drama (and the pre-game info)!

My kid bailed on the game leaving the bitter rivalry of myself vs. my dear wife to be rekindled in full fury! She is commanding the Nurgle Horde while I am fighting the good fight with the Paladins.

Mission: 3 Objectives (Center Tower 5pts, Imperial Chapel 3pts, Nurgle Tree 3 pts), and Slay Warlord, First Blood, and Linebreaker
Deployment: Dawn of War with first turn Night Fight
Initiative: Roll Won by Chaos and deferred to Grey Knights (sly she devil!)
Warlords: Typhus with the Fear ability that means nothing for this battle and Draigo with Divide to Conquer (that meant nothing)
Psychics: Typhus gets Weapon Virus and Contagion while the Prince gets Plague Wind, Librarian gets Assail, Prescience, and Sunburst.

The battlefield and armies:

The Zombies get the right hand side, the noble Grey Knights get the left. Draigo and 2 Dreadnoughts take the middle, the Horde spans the opposing side...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
In the foreground is Typhus and 28 Zombies, the middle is 3 Nurgle Oblits/the Prince/and 28 Zombies, the far flank is 3 more Oblits and 28 more Zombies. you can see the two Dreads and Draigo taking cover in the middle building on the far side. First turn night fight so not too scared...

And.... Back. Sorry, mega work week crept up on us... TGIF! Report will be finished in the next day or so.

@JY2: Those are the Zombicide miniatures, sadly only usable in friendly games. Great sculpts and a great game.

If the turkey has been more than primed, I would like to see a close up of that paint scheme (hell drake). I have mine assembled and primed yet am looking for a different way to paint it. Your drake has a neatly subdued scheme...
