I just got a second DV kit and didn't really need a second Helbrute. So I'm considering trading/selling it off or I could convert it to a Deamon Prince.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on what I could do with this?

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

I don't hate the idea fluffwise, especially if you have a relatively mech-themed army (such as Iron Warriors), but you'd need to do a whole lot of work to prevent it just looking like a Helbrute with bits stuck on.

Keeping the torso but adding new arms and legs would be the obvious way to go. Unfortunately, finding suitable bits may not be easy due to the unusual size.

I actually was going with Iron Warriors, and that's where I got the idea.

So far I figure at the least I'd need to change the right arm, cover the chest, and add a head.

Thanks btw.

You should ask around to people you know and see if they have arms/wings that might fit or at least provide a base to green stuff around.

I've seen a few hellbrute to daemon prince conversions and I personally don't think that the model lends itself well to very many successful conversions. Just my 2c

Thanks to this thread, I have just bought a Hellbrute to convert into a Daemon Prince.

I don't have a recent codex so could I ask if there is still a ranged Daemonic weapon/cannon (I need to replace the multi melta).

I plan on having a Daemon cannon and a large daemonic blade of some description (scratch sculpted) and before I start dismembering, it would be helpful to know .

I feel the only way to see if the model can turn into a Daemon Prince is to give it a go ... and for the £12-00 it cost me, if it goes horrendously wrong, I haven't wasted too much money in the process.

Now all I have to do is wait for the kit to arrive and the answers to my basic questions

@Savageconvoy, I would hold onto the kit and see what you can find via Google for inspiration. If you are not too experienced with Green Stuff, I would suggest that the new Forgefiend might be a great kit to buy for bits to glue onto your Hellbrute because there are lots of extras in the kit.

The only ranged weapon the Deamon Prince can get is a flamethrower that is a Chaos Artefact.

I was planning on converting the right arm into a swinging ball and chain, so I could run it as a black mace if I wanted to.

That sounds like a good choice, especially if you are going for Iron Warriors (the perfect thing for sieges and smashing walls).

I think that I will go for the classic Khorne Daemon Prince with the flamer and axe of rage (just like Kharn on Skallathrax ).

Dont know if you had a visual in mind but I recall in the IW omnibus a daemon prince posessed a dreadnought in the UM star fort. Maybe thats exactly what youre going for? I cant recall the description; had spindly arms and legs with the sarcophagus as the torso I think

You should do a jet pack for wings, keep with an industrial style prince for iron warriors

I'm using CSM as an ally unit with Tau so that actually fits in really well.

The centre of a massive brood chamber, heaving and pulsating.

How about using Forgefiend rear legs for the legs, making the waist taller possibly using a Juggernaut head, and possibly using a Contemptor claw arm?

As for the wings, Heldrake wings could look cool. Or possibly Balrog or plastic Black Dragon wings if you want to go a bit smaller.

Squigsquasher, resident ban magnet, White Knight, and general fethwit.

I typed hellbrute into the gallery search and got these two.

Both DPs converted from Hellbrutes. Maybe these can inspire you?
