Does anyone know of a good website where I can buy some cheap trees? Not looking for pine trees.

Look at anything by woodland scenics. They make all sorts of trees and kits for model train tables. You should be able to find something useful.

Can also find some trees with Christmas scenery, I got some deciduous trees, so they aren't all pine trees. got them two for a dollar USD.

* Do a search on "model scenery trains trees". I know there's a model train scenery site where the author suggests all sorts of ways to make trees on the cheap.

Woodland Scenics finished trees, like most you'll find, regardless of company, can be a bit pricey, but they sell flexible tree armatures and clump foliage (both are the same stuff that theirs are made with) that allow you to make your own at a reasonable price. The armatures come in a range of styles (including deciduous) and sizes, so I imagine you can find ones that work for you, whether you want a bunch of small 2-3" trees to make dense forest stands or a handful of half-footers to set up on their own.

How many, what size, how cheap, where do you live and do you mind a little bit of work to finish them?

As oadie mentioned, the Woodland Scenics plastic tree kits are about the cheapest for large numbers of trees - though you do have to go through and assemble them yourself.

You can get a variety of kits or ready made trees in pretty much any size you can think of. JTT makes some pretty nice ones, though they might be above your price point if you need too many of them.

One note; if you make your own trees (from woodland scenic parts etc) use clump foliage and don't use moss from a craft store.

Most moss eventually dries out, and becomes brittle and breaks off the tree!
