My brothers been using a basic thrope as his DoM but as part of his christmas present I'm thinking of converting one for him any ideas?

I used a trygon head-plate + the spines on its head and the stinger tail instead of the zoey tail.

Looks pretty nice with little further modification.

The trygon head-plate fits amazingly well on a zoanthrope, actually.

Actually it was the Mawloc's pieces I used after making a Trygon, now that I am thinking about it.

There's some really cool alien figures made by Troll Forged Miniatures if you didn't want to convert.

I bought the "Alien Brain" one here (http://trollforged.com/shelf_sci-fi_Aliens.html) and was very pleased.

All my Zoanthropes are 3rd ed ones, so the 4th ed model looks very distinctive without any real conversion for me.

That models awesome. Gona have to get one was thinking of using a few bits to convert a Zoanthrope but think this is well worth the money. Played about 10 games so far and only started using Doom the other day and have to say hes hardcore. Used twice and both times he did massive damage

I just received the Tervigon, Doom and pod from the aforementioned Russian sculptor and I cant praise the quality enough! His Tervigon is closer in size to a Hierodule then the GW Tervigon but it is the most stunning model in my hive fleet by far (an impressive feet considering I own at least one of every Tyranid model from GW and FW). The pod is an all new level of classy. I have been using the chapter house one shown earlier and the one from http://www.maxmini.eu/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15&products_id=169 and this one blows them both out of the water. The Doom is both an impressive and intimidating model, although it attracts a lot more fire then a counts as Zoan.

He is working on Tyranid Prime as well and it's looking pretty sexy!
