I can't say for sure on the Dettol. I have stripped down some DKoK and finecast models using superclean which strips paint just like dettol and didn't have any problems. Sorry I can't give you any information on the dettol.

Isopropyl alcohol works fine on FW models. Not with FC: they tend to bloat and get softer after stripping.
