Well it really depends on what kind of army you want.

If you want all/mostly jump pack marines then that is a good start.

Maybe get a Devastator squad with 4 Missile launchers, an Autocannon/Lascannon predator, a Stormraven, or some Drop pods. It really depends on what you are looking to do.

P.S. Scouts with Sniper rifles and camo cloaks are okay these days due to needing to have objective holders in your own backfield (BA Tactical squads can do this job as well).

Swap 2 of the assault marine boxes for 2 death company boxes. The dc boxes will give you infernus pistols and some nice conversion bits to make your assault marines look extra blood angelsy. You also get some bolters for the future.

Think about power swords rather than fists for the sergeant. Very roughly it should be around 900pts. You could make the librarian an epistolary for another 50pts.

Now, I don't know much about Blood Angels, But I do know you want to get the Sanguinary Priests for each of your Assault squads.

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

its the closest we'll ever get to an invul save. FNP 5+ is still better than nothing.

alright well I'm ordering this off dicebucket.com, anyone have any experience with them? A guy at my local club reccomended them. So I'll get 2 boxes of assault squads and 2 death company. Am I fielding the death company as death company or assault marines?
Is this good to start out with?

I would field them as assault marines. Death Company squads can get a bit pricey points wise. Too expensive for small 1000pts lists anyway imo. I kinda see them as a bit of a luxury. They can't hold objectives either. I'd just mix the bits from all 4 boxes up and make two cool looking 10 man assault squads. Like I said the dc boxes are good for all the bits they give you, plus they look cool too.... even painted red.

These aren't mine. But they're a good example of Death Company painted up as regular assault marines. I think it's a good look.

Ah right, ok sorry. It's just when people come on asking for links to pdf downloads and stuff, they kinda get frowned upon. Didn't realise you had the official. Nevermind.

Im not buying a codex anymore friend is giving me his, so i can afford another assault squad box, sanguinary guard devastators a land speeder a command squad or a drop pod what should I get?

Not sure. Not much point in a drop pod if you're putting jump packs on your assault marines. Sanguinary guard are apparently pretty handy, especially so if you plan on taking Dante at some point. A lot of people like devastators with missile launchers to support assault squads. I like landspeeders with typhoon launchers and multi meltas. A lot of people don't. Or you could keep buying assault squads. Suppose it kinda depends which way you want your army to grow. If you check out the army lists section you'll find examples of competitive BA lists at all points levels. They should be able to help. A lot of the advice I've received suggests going either full assault, or full mech, rather than trying to combine the two. But to be honest, I'm only starting BA myself so I haven't really field tested any of this. Just kinda trying to pass on what I've been told. My 1250 pts list has 30 assault marines and 3 landspeeders. But have a search on the army list section. You'll find more experienced guys than me there.

hmmm really not sure what to do my local club plays 2000 point games which is going to be difficult, they guy that runs the club is going to lend me models but still going to take a lot of time and money to get a 2000 point army

Yeh, I hear you. Well the stuff you mentioned takes you up to about 900, maybe a little less. Make it up to 1000 with a landspeeder or a furioso dread to support your terminators and you're off to a really good start. Then try find people at your club who'd be happy to ally with you. Take 1000pts each. There'll be people who are starting out new armies and who are in a similar situation to you. Play like this for a while and slowly build up the other 1000pts. As you play, you'll get an idea of what units you want to get next.
