I've seen a few random posts on other sites about somehow having a GK Purgation Squad use Astral Aim from behind cover and then ignoring the enemy's cover. No explanation was given as to what combo allowed them to ignore cover, so I'm hoping someone here has an idea how someone would make this happen. Anyone?

Incinerators ignore cover.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

Yeah, I was thinking more with the psycannons. I think I found my answer with a little more digging. If you take the divination tree and get "we've been expecting you", you can ignore cover saves. Attach a librarian or inquisitor to the unit and go for it. I may try this with an 10 man purgation squad with 8 psycannons. Attach a cheap inquisitor with divination. Roll for powers and if WBEY doesn't come up, just take Prescience and you still win. What do you all think?

The squad you are describing is illegal. The entry for Purgation Squads says that up to 4 may swap their weapons, not for every 5 GK, you may swap up to 4. If you take a 5 man squad, you get 4 Psycannons. If you up the number to 10, you still only get 4 Psycannons. If you take 2 squads of 5 you can get 8 cannons, but you can't roll them into a single squad.

good catch, thanks! Maybe i'll try two squads and just put the inquisitor with one.

You can't really always get (or count on using) 'Perfect Timing' (the 'ignores cover' divination psychic ability), but yes, it is absolutely everything you'd want it to be in a purgation squad. Coteaz is an excellent choice if this is what you are trying for, as he'll get two rolls much more cheaply than a mastery 2 librarian. (and combos well in general with a shooting-style unit for his other abilities).

Good point, I'll consider using him instead.
