I like the doubles and the 1k-means-more-games ideas.

Back when I lived in the midwest we used to have a "Highlander" tournament every so often. As in, there can be only one, so no unit duplication at all in the army. Obviously some armies only have one troop choice, so they get a pass, but it works suprisingly well for balancing things and its great in fantasy too.

I don't see an option for one that doesn't allow flyers?

What's a Trios format? Is it narrative, singles and doubles?

Trios format, I'm guessing (since he's played in one and won it twice himself), refers to a 3player team tournament, where teams face each other. 2 of the players team up with 1k each adepticon style, and each team's "third" faces off next table over in a 1v1 at 1500 or 2000. Usually you play 3 rounds for 6 games, yielding a 1v1 for each player, and 2 x 2v2 for each player, and 6 game results to determine winner from.

Cool. Thanks.

In that case, I'd just prefer doubles.

Mike is correct on the Trios format. My group and I are very interesting in putting together a great GT in the future so any feedback and or reasons why you prefer one over the other is great.

Thansk so far for the feedback and votes please keep them comming so we can and will give the best format GT we can.

Thanks,
Grimwulfe
