looking good! like the dirty feel, done a good job!
I think the only thing i'd do is run a little blazing orange along the bottom of the eyes.
Great basing too, looking forwards to more!

Thanks very much. There actually is a little bit of blazing orange in the eyes, or at least the Vallejo equivalent. I do find Vallejo reds and oranges and yellows quite thin. Maybe that's why it hasn't shown up too well. I'll look at going over I again.

no probs, it may just be the lighting, i find unless i use a flash highlights are never very good, and with a flash they're always really exaggerated!

Have you thought about painting the chest blood droplet with a gem effect? In its position and against the gold aquila, it would really pop.

I thought about it. I think I decided that I wanted it to look like one solid gold piece. Maybe I'll look at it again. Think I want to put a clear red over the blood vials as well.
