I have been reading the path of the renegade and the thirteen foundations of vengeance keep cropping up. From what i can gather they are a set of rules all Dark Eldar including Incubus the who live in Commorragh follow to survive within the city. Dose any one know what these thirteen foundations of vengeance are and how they came to be followed so closely? So far i know of Four:

Once committed do not fear the blade.

Caution will put 100 blades at your back instead of one at your front.

If you want something attended to satisfactorily, you must attend to it yourself.

An enemy cannot be presumed dead unless a body is found.

Become that which is most feared: Death

Commorragh

We have nothing to fear but fear itself. Apart from pain. And maybe humiliation and obviously death. And failure. But apart from fear, pain and humiliation, failure and the unknown and death we have nothing to fear but fear itself. Who’s with me?

Sorry for off topic - I would also be grateful if someone can provide answer...

The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always."

-- First Captain Sevatar, when asked why the Night Lords aren't the Emperor's sanction force against other Legions.

Craftworld Lansing had a DE army list building series called "The Thirteen Foundations of Vengeance" that made up a list, but given that it was comprised of single words with brief explanations rather than phrases I suspect that the actual thing is not known in real life yet.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

There are actually many more foundations of vengeance then 13, in a typical GW-loophole to let them make up phrases as they go along. I believe Path of the Renegade says that.

My Armies:
5,500pts
2,700pts
2,000pts
