Leading my new Raven Guard army is Shadow Captain Korvydae using his rules from IA8.

I have one question which has been troubling me: Does his rule that allows Assault squads to be troops require that ALL Assault squads be troops or just those that you specify in your army list?

I ask this because for certain points costs I would rather my assault squads remain in the Fast Attack slots as I need my troops slots for Scout units so I can reserve enough units.

This is primarily a semantic RAW issue with the way the rule is phrased in IA8 as I believe it can be read both ways.

Good evening,

The way I read it is that you can take assault squads as either choice.

Not having access to IA8, I'm not sure on the exact wording.

Does it simply state they become troops? May be taken as troops, etc?

"...it may also take any Assault squads as a Troops choice instead of a Fast Attack choice." You can choose.

I think their use of "may" with regards to the assault squads as troops stands in stark contrast to their use of "must" with regards to including a unit of scouts, and clearly shows the intention is they can be taken either as troops or fast attack.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
