Don't put heavy weapons in a cc dedicated blob.
Everything in guard should be singular in its purpose, respectively. So for your blobs, decide - will they chop, or will they shoot?

Yep, drop the power axes in the shooty dedicated blob. Put those points into something else.

Camo cloaks are worthless on the CCS if you are packing straken. Drop that and put on carapace and with the 30 points saved from the shooty blob, you pack 2 guards into the CCS.

I don't see a need for a second priest honestly as you only have 1 cc blob. I would drop that priest and either get marbo with 5 more points or buy another shooty platoon and give it an autocannon. The squad will not have a special weapon but those extra lasguns can add up to 21 more lasgun shots.

I'd imagine he's got camo cloaks on Straken so they can walk up behind the blob and have a +4 cover save instead of +5.

Infantry platoons count as a single unit for the purposes of reserves. You can't put just the PCS in reserves while you leave the rest of the platoon on the board. As such, the PCS in vendetta idea is a bad one. If you want to do this, you're going to want to take a platoon where the PCS and an SWS weapon up and go in a ride and use the rest of the platoon in a counterattack role.

Also, I'm not going to lie, this seems a teeny bit light on troops for a foot horde. I mean, 70 guardsmen starting on the table with a CCS might sound like a lot, but I've lost that many guardsmen in two turns before. If we were talking about carapace vets, or respawning conscripts, it might be a different story, but as is, I don't know... feels a little light.

I do agree, though, that a blob shouldn't have any close combat weapon upgrades unless there's a commissar. You can keep one axe blob for the lord commissar to chill out in, but I wouldn't bother for the other one.

Points lost from here could give the CCS carapace, or could be spent in conjunction with dropping the ADL in favor of a third vendetta.
