[Start of Voice Comm Report #6345]
The STD
Aside from being a Deathguard warband, not much is known of the STD. Even their name is shrouded in mystery, as its meaning is not officially recognized. The following possibilities have been decoded with the technology of Adeptus Mechanicus on Mars:
Superiourly Transmitted Death
Swift Termination Deathguard
Silly Tapdancing Dog
Splendid Tulip Dukes
The STD is however known to be led by a former Force Commander, Innocensius Virginius. During a cleansing mission deep in the Molestus sector, Innocencius was gruesomely assaulted by several corrupt Black Templar Space Marines. One of them stole his bike. Whether these turned Battle Brothers (tm) were the objective of the cleansing mission, is unclear and highly classified. Scarred both mentally and physically, Innocenius never recovered fully. The seed of corruption had already been planted into him, so to speak.
Not long after the incident he turned to Chaos and fled into the Eye of Terror, as many ( around 3 million Space Marines and 286 chapters ) have done before him. It must be pretty fething crowded in there. Anyhow, he now roams the galaxies known as Badgro Inrash, Chaos Lord and undisputed champion of Nurgle, on a campaign to recover his stolen bike and dignity he has long since lost. It is known he is aided by several unique individuals that belong in his warband, such as Herpes the Helbrute, Forgefiend Aid'z, Plaguemarine Squad Chlamydius, Cult Cell Syphilius and the infamous Vlad The Impaler. Only a few voice records of Badgro exist:
"-We just went viral."
"-Catch us if you can."
-"Templa stole my bike."
Expecting further details to unravel in the coming months ahead.
[End of Voice Comm report, awaiting updates.]
Cult Cell Syphilius
The models are dipped. 10 cultists take only a day to finish. Future models include Chaos Bikers, Rhinos ( one will play disco music ), a Helbrute, a Forgeworld Chaos Fighter, Forgefiend and ofcourse Plague Marines.

Plaguemarine Squad Chlamydius
Honourable mentions:
With the lead of their champion, Chlamydius, the unit once broke into a Black Templar -armory. They did this without Badgros knowledge, in an attempt to gain the favor of the Chaos Lord by retrieving his stolen bike. The bike wasn't in said armory, which is ofcourse likely seeing the Black Templar probably have around 100000 armories scattered across the galaxy. They stole a plasmagun instead. Badgro was sorely disappointed. But being sorely disappointed is good, when you worship Nurgle.
A member of the squad, excommunicate Talwart Geni used to be a cinematic superstar before his career took a fall and he joined the STD. He starred in some sci-fi film series, nothing realistic like goatmen playing american football or soldiers genetically enhanced so their ribcages grow shut into armoured plates. Not to mention Green men who spawn from mushrooms.

Badgro Inrash, The Undisputed Biker Lord and Champion of Nurgle
Badgro had a vision during one of his seizures caused by the Destroyer Plague. In it, he was visited by a Plaguebearer wearing a pointy hat and a white beard. The Plaguebearer told the Chaos Lord that he had been a good servant of Father Chr... Papa Nurgle this year, slaying and maiming many enemies with pointy objects and spreading diseases across the galaxy. Nurgle wanted to reward Badgro. The very next day a mysterious asteroid landed near the Temple of Nurgle the STD resides in. Upon investigating the crater, they discovered Calypso, Badgros old bike mutated and gifted by the God of Disease. It features the length extended Foemangler 3000 front forks, which greatly increase combat effectiveness. Should the unfortunate individual Badgro attacks survive the terrific impact of the bike and the front pads, he will be impaled into one or two vicious flesh hooks and have the front tire grind on his already brutalized body. If this is not enough, he will realize he is practically stuck right infront of a twinlinked bolter at point blank range... and that's all before Badgro even gets off his bike and starts swinging his Black Mace and Lightning Claw. Poor bastard.
Badgro Inrash is back in business, and he is faster and more putrid than ever before. One could almost say he is an airborne virus incarnate.

The rust was simply done by taking an old brush that is pointing somewhat everywhere, dipping it in Blazing Orange and wiping it almost dry. Then just stub it around the surfaces.

The Rhino That Plays The Bee Gees
The STD is known for its vile and stench filled assaults. Usually just before the attack happens, the unfortunate individuals being attacked can hear the rumbling of the STD Rhinos tracks, accompanied by dreadful heretic melodies being played from its Dirge Caster.
Video of freshly assembled Rhino playing the Bee Gees for those that missed it in the WIP forum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYDZxJY2YMI&feature=youtu.be
Did battledamage all around using the armys palette, ofcourse. The STD arrives to battle in style and groove unlike any other. The whole thing took me only around 3 hours to paint.
Everyboooody ye, wooo-ho, shake yer body ye, wooo-ho:
I must add that the insides of the tracks are painted ( with silver ) but the dip didn't catch onto them. I couldn't be arsed to first ink them with Nuln Oil and take another set of pictures, but I can guarantee they are inline with rest of the Rhino now.

Herpes The Helbrute
Once a part of the Astral Claws Space Marine Chapter, Herpes suffered a terrible fate during an Exterminatus gone wrong. His body broken, he was taken to the Chapters Fortress Monastery, where he ascended to be a Dreadnought. He was transferred to the Black Templars, where he suffered a terrible fate in the hands of a Necron Lord. The ancient machine warrior cut off his arm, and left him alive out of pity, wiggling on his back in the ground like a fish on dry land. The Black Templars were ashamed of his performance ( unlike their Chapter Masters ) and he is sent off to the Imperial Fists. In the siege of Haddrake Tor, Herpes teleported in with a bunch of Terminators in an attempt to infiltrate Chaos territory. Unfortunately for him, a Chaos Sorcerer trolled them by altering the Warp, and the whole squad materialized inside stone.
Rest of the squad dead, Herpes was imprisoned partially inside a rock for 400 years. Badgro Inrash happened to find him, and agreed to release the already insane Dreadnought should he vouch allegiance to him, and Nurgle. Herpes agreed, and hence Herpes The Helbrute was born. During his first battle with Badgro Ingrash, he already proved his worth. Not missing a single Plasmacannon shot during the whole battle, Herpes slaughtered many hostile Plague Marines who attacked the STD because they were jealous of Badgros new bike. Only when a mysterious objective was almost lost to enemy Obliterators did Herpes randomly overheat his Plasmacannon. He went flying rodent gak crazy, and charged the foes and decimated them in melee combat. The mysterious objective was saved, altough no one still knows what it was. It was mysterious, and theirs, and that's what counts in war.
Decided to add a bit of purple details, and I think they look really good on the armys palette. Might revisit other minis later to add similiar details.

The way you paint looks fantastic on the cultists, but I find not so good on the marines.
You get a nice dull pastel effect - which works well for the clothes.
I just think the marines should be a bit more stand out? "armour-ey"? If you understand.
I would like to see a bit more of a contrast between the two, otherwise its all going to look a bit washed out.
