So, over the Christmas holidays me and my roommate are both starting up a small (600pts) warhammer army each. He wants to get back into the game and I want to make a small, jokey army so I’ve opted for female anime tau (yes I know, how very cliché of me). Now I’m set for fire warriors (using the zealot miniatures bodies and heads) but the battle suits just look so boxy and…well…..un-feminine :/

Obviously it’s hard to make a giant robot suit look female but it can be made more elegant which I think would be quite fitting which is where you come in dakka……how in slaaneshs name do I make those things look sleek and elegant as opposed to clunky and boxy?

not sure about the legs but the upper body, head and ars on the second one looks pretty damn good

If you want to base stuff off that you can order the upper body separately. Looks like the legs are the expensive bits anyway.

The Forgeworld suits are more elegant than the standard XV8 suits. Another route would be to use XV25s or Shadowsun's XV22 suit, in a similar way to the Dawn of War Tau commander suit.

If you make a Nu/Lambda model I may have to give you exorbitant amounts of money.

If you are open to non GW minis Soda Pop minis are pretty awesome, but if you want something a little less cheese try Infinity models. With Infinity you only get one pose for your models (generally) so if you were wanting to make squads of suits these would get spendy and repetitive. Maybe for named characters or something?
