If I'm reading this right, any model that has access to the Melee/Ranged weapon tables (and has a bolt pistol and CCW to trade in) can take any two of the melee weapons ("...can replace his bolt pistol and/or CCW with one of the following...").

So, Chaos Lord with 2 Chainaxes, or a Huron wannabe with a Lightning Claw and a Power Axe are gtg?

Same with Chaos Termies (after the FAQ), dual Chainfists FTW?

I don't see why that would be a problem.

Note that in the case of Specialist Weapon + Regular Weapon, you don't get the bonus attack. So Claw/Axe is not really the best choice.

However, you don't need to wield 2 identical special weapons. A Powerfist/Lightning Claw model can choose which to use each turn, and gets the extra attack for 2 ccw.

I know my examples weren't optimal choices Iridumstern (not that that would keep me from putting them in a list ), just what came to mind.

Just trying to make sure I was setting it up legally in Battlescribe.

Yes you can, usually go for sword/axe or Power fist/Lighting claw for the lords, so that you get the AP3 & 2 options while retaining the extra attack

Not a problem with sharing Mr. V. The problem is whether I will ever finish (been working on it off & on since the new codex came out) or just give up and d/l one that someone faster than me has already done

Have you figured out how to make the Artifacts 1/army yet? I set them up for max of 1/roster, however, within the roster builder it doesn't give a warning if you take more than one like it should.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Hadn't tested that yet Happy, but just tried it. It gives the message if you take two of the same character and give them the same artifact (i.e. 2 Chaos Lords w/the Burning Brand), but doesn't seem to do it with different entries (like a CL and a Dark Apostle with the same artifact). Maybe need to set the artifacts up as a Shared Entry Group? Which I think I didn't do because I couldn't get it set up to warn if you had the wrong mark for an artifact.

I've got a question on this one also;

A lightning claw stated as specialist weapon, means you don't get the bonus attack for fghting with two different weapons.
for example, chaos lord with 3 attacks, wielding a pistol and a ccw. If I replace one with a lightning claw, would that mean I even lose one attack because I have two different ccw? So if you replace both pistol and ccw for two lightning claws I will get the extra attack and bring me back to 3 attacks?

Also, if I just replace my ccw with any other melee weapon, because I replace it, I don't get extra attacks?

If I have a power sword and axe for example, on my chaos lord, I need to choose wich weapon I'll be using. Do I get all the melee attacks for that weapon? So with 3 attacks in his stats, I could get 3 attacks with the power axe? or 3 attacks with the power sword? And If I only take a power axe instead of ccw I can also still choose to hit 3 times with my remaining pistol, so I don't loose my initiative?

3 is your base attacks; changing to a specialist will keep yu at 3, two will get you to 4

getting two power weapons will also get me at 4? although I just replace the bolt pistol and ccw?

And if I have 4 attacks, can I use them on one weapon individually? so 4 attacks with a axe, or choose to do 4 attacks with the sword, for example?

Yeah I did, but it confuses me. You should decide what weapon to choose when it comes to striking blows, but you can't mix and match abilities. So my guess is that doesn't count for the amount of hits, but I just want to be sure.
I mean you can buy a quite expensive weapon, and get another hit with the same weapon by buying a close combat weapon for only 1 point. And that seemed just quite strong?

As long as it does not have the specialist rule you can use a pistol or CCW to gain a bonus attack with that weapon.

Can I assume any ccw already equipped are included in the amount of attacks stated? Because sometimes you have more/less attacks than actually wearing close combat weapons. So If I replace weapons, I'm not getting extra attacks untill I add weapons, and I'm also not losing attacks because of equipping specialist weapons?
But if you replace a pistol and a ccw with two specialist weapons, would you get an extra attack out of it?

No, because they're not unless the entry very specifically states that the bonus for two weapons is already listed in the profile.

well it never specifically states that it is included in the profile? The profile for an aspiring champion says 2 attacks, but I'm not gonna add 2 extra attacks for wearing a bolt pistol and a sword ?
Unless you're saying that the same pistol and sword should be taken included because in the rulebook they say your pistol already counts for an attack etc..?

The Champion has 2A.
If he's armed with two Melee weapons, he gets to add +1 (although Specialist weapons can only be combined with other Specialist weapons to get the +1).

And yet again, the profile as listed has no bonuses whatsoever in the profile. If the profile says he has two attacks then that is his minimum number of attacks. He will then get three attacks for wielding TWO close combat weapons (and not one for each weapon as your post implies) and he would get four attacks if he charges. The rules are really quite clear on the matter.

you do realize that you do not get +1 attack per each weapon. Only for a set CCW+Pistol, LC+CF, etc.

Wow, I really missed that part where you can only add +1 for having two or more, my bad.

Okay but my main problem is solved, the wargear isn't included unless stated, well I realise that was my main problem ^^ I get it now, thx for being patient with me :p
