Its been a long time since I last picked up a GW figure or even painted anything. So while I was walking down the high street with my other half we past the GW store I told her I used to play some 10+ years ago and that I wasn't any good and I really didn't have a clue how to play I just loved painting the models (still quite true). So she asks if I want to go in and have a look. Being an old Ork player I went right to them in the 40k section.... long story short I ended with with an ork trukk and a basic painting kit for Christmas.

But that was not the end of it. I ended up going back and getting some bikes, a 2nd trukk (cant open the one I have now for a few more days) some black undercoat, green stuff and a codex followed a few days later by a few Boyz, a fantasy Black Ork leader and my GF surprised me with a box set of Nobz. So now I have a small army that fits the Speed theme.

I've also dug around my parents attic to find a few old limited run figures and what looks like an old warboss in mega armour (with some rather poor conversion skills) that looks like a good start for a new fig.

I've got a few of them ready to paint but since I don't want to rush any of them I don't see myself getting anymore for a bit.... ok maybe some killa kans...

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Hi and welcome back to the hobby. Your story is similar to my own experience earlier this year. It's amazing how quickly you get sucked back in.
