Almost done. Wish I didn't have to work so it would take me a few days for a squad and not two weeks.
Just need to clean up the weapons, detail them and dullcoat.

I goofed a few of the weapons as its my first try, I think they turned out decent. I'm hoping to get a table top quality model when finished.

I'm thinking a basic rock base with maybe some snow? Any suggestions on the snow?

Thanks stay tuned

Nice! The purple and gold really works well together and those weapons are stunning.

That purple looks great. I'm guessing by the paint on the bases that it was done with an airbursh? I wish I could get my colors to look that smooth with a brush.

Thanks for the kind comments!

I wish I could paint smooth like that with a brush too. I'm a scale modeller a heart and these miniatures are new to me. I'm pretty shaky and sloppy with the hand brush, you can tell on some of the details around the model.

The model armour was archived by:

Airbrush black vallejo primer
Zenithal technique : Airbrush purple vallejo model colour
Final Zenithal : Airbrush blue violet vallejo model colour
Tamiya gloss clear
W&N Ivory Black oil wash
Testors dullcoat

And the sword:

Tape off left side of the sword on the front and left side on the back, so they should be opposite and flipped (if this makes any sense)
Airbrush blade white
Airbrush dark blue around where you want the cold spots to be (dark)
Airbrush ice blue from the dark blue to the white, leaving only a tiny bit of white
Gloss coat and remove tape after it dries

Rinse repeat for the other side, try to pay attention to where you made your hot spots (white) and do them opposite to the left side of the blade.
Eg: tip and middle of blade are white on the left side, tip and middle will be cold (dark blue) on the right

Hope this makes sense! Decided to just go simple base, covered in coarse ballast. I will update soon!

Thanks again guys
