Hi folks,
Thanks for looking. This is a wip shot of my JP Librarian who will one day become the warlord for my BA successor chapter, Angels Amaranthine. Currently, he's just pinned and blutacked together.

I need some help selecting a head for him. I bought a selection of the new CSM Raptor/Warp Talon heads which I like and think rather suit the darker "spikey" nature of my marines. Please see the fairly recently started blog ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/488077.page ) to get an idea of the general look I'm going for. Obviously I'm not limited to the heads I currently own, so anything you can think of, I would be happy to consider. I don't have a wide knowledge of all different kits, so I'd appreciate your input.

Also, while looking at the model, do you think I should try to incorporate a GK rear torso to give the model a bit of a psychic hood. This may make him more obviously a librarian but I'm worried it might obscure the cool JP a bit too much. Also, it might limit my head choices. Do you think a psychic hood is necessary?

Also, any other things you think I should change in general? I plan on adding a pistol slung over his left shoulder and I'm undecided on what to do with that left shoulder pad.

At the moment, I might be leaning towards the top right head without the helm, who has the kinda half exposed steel skull. Not sure what kit he's from.

Also like one or two of these guys from Anvil.

So, thanks again for looking. I'd really like to hear your thoughts.

Alan

I like the far right Anvil head. The one with the scarred face and bionic eye. He'd look good.

I might need to look at how to do this. The torso on the model is one piece and it might prove difficult to slice it perfectly down the middle to fit a separate rear torso bit.

I have a rather similar in progress Librarian!

If you have the torsos from the grey knights box just snip the hood off the back of the torso and use that, works wonders for a stand in psychic hood.

I like the model alot, the top right half terminator skull is from the tactical squad box.

I'd vote for the far left anvil head (just received these heads in the mail they are all awesome).

I want to suggest that wolf helmet that the Space Wolves have.... but that's just because I love that particular helmet and would put it on everything....

With the anvil heads the one left of the far right looks cool and out of the helmets that you had together the noise marine(?) helmet in the bottom row with the two horns looked nice.

The anvil heads look tiny when on the model......I stuck some on my chaos marines and I couldn't stop laughing at them......I think one is true scale 28mm and other is heroic scale.....I have about 40 robed heads I will never use lol

I know what you mean, I think they are just in-between true and heroic!

However I like the slightly smaller heads, they look like they would actually fit in the helmets, there are one or two that are too small though.

And if you ever want to offload those hooded heads I'll take 'em!
