Sorry for asking so many questions. I do hope that all this extensive discussion on what appears to be insignificant matters, will help all beginners such as myself in out quest towards the Golden demon...

Back to it then. I'm currently painting a Dark Angel army. I layer with Caliban Green and the I paint the Eagle crest on the chest of my Unforgiven with Ubshanti Bone.

1. What is the BEST WASH tone I can use with the Ubshanti Bone? I'm currently making a mess out of it with the Agrax wash, as it appears to be too dark on the Bone color; and

2. What do you think is the best HIGHLIGHT color to be used with said Ubshanti Bone-d Eagle Crest?

Any other suggestions on painting an EPIC EAGLE CREST any of the Unforgiven would be proud to wear on their chests?

For bone i would use a sepia wash. Highlights i would use bone and then white.

So...
Basecoat of Ubshanti bone
Wash of Seraphim sepia (or what ever its called now)
Highlight with Ubshanti bone
More highlights with skull white.

Another question if I may:

If you're painting something white-ish.... like Ulthuan Grey. How to you wash/shade in the recesses? Agrax or something lighter?
