Here my painted army of Chaos Renegades, the "Karnophages". I painted it about 10 years ago. At that time I used the Alpha legion army list.
I used sone cultist too and genestealer (proxie for demons). My idea it was a group of CSM with the genetic seed of genestealrs and so member of a Genestealer Cult.

I have some genestealers and cultists too, but I didn't paint these models, so I don't include them.

II don't play to WH40k from years, so I never finished the army with the models I have: many metal OOP genestealers and cultists with genestealer hybrids. At the moment the Alpha legion list is not available in the new rules. Is it correct?

As far as the Alpha Legion rules goes? No idea, however I'm pretty sure that they are plain old 'Vanila C:SM'...

These are incredible. How old are they? Also, i cant believe they are still in that good of shape or are they pictures from when you painted them years ago?

These miniature are from '80 years (from 1988-89 I think), but I bought them in 2000 years (maybe in 2003). I take pictures about two years ago. They are in good shape because I included a strong satin varnish with tamiya spray years ago. Too much sometime, in fact some miniatures have a gloss varnish (I should use some matt vanish to correct it, one day). I don't use this miniatures from years too (maybe 5 years or more). They are protected in a citadel bag. Hope one day I will play again and paint more miniatures.

There are no longer specific Alpha Legion rules, however, any CSM army can take cultists now, so you could theme an Alpha Legion list with thew current codex easily enough.

Excellent news. So finally I could use my cultists again. If I begin to play again I could use metal OOP genestealers like demons and hybris plus necromunda eschers like cultists.

These are totally awesome and remind me of Mutant League Football on the SEGA genesis. Love 'em.

Sweet Jebus those are superb, love the green, what's your recipe? I think my favourite is the converted Daemon Prince, absolutely fantastic!

For the green I simple used highlighting of all the green colors: from dark angel green to scorpion green. At that time I didn't use wash or inks.

Really lovely. I love those old original Renegade models; so chaotic and crazy. Mixing them in an army with the Genestealer Cult stuff is inspired. I hope you do field them again, and possibly give us a few shots of these guys and their cultist buddies on a nice gaming table.... (drool).

Yes, those old vintage CSM have a grotesque charm. I love them.
I see that vintage CSM now are expensive, I've done well to buy them many years ago (I still have some unpainted CSM to use if need)

Brilliant, IMO still the best (or perhaps most 'true') representation of Chaos that was ever released by GW. Not just 'We're evil rah rah rah, let's put spikes on our armour and scream a lot' but 'you can't guess what the hell we look like in our armour! And, we know some interesting secret stuff - we can tell you about it, put once you're in there is no getting out '

Wonderful colour scheme as well, almost a neon-effect you have made with the paint!
