So I'm fairly new to painting and need a bit of help. For my FE army I'm using mephiston red for the dark red and skull white for the different squad/tactical markings. Where I need help is what should I highlight that red with and also what color should I go with for the Aquilla and other similar symbols?

For your highlights use a mix of mephiston red and blazing orange. Or whatever the current blazing orange is called. For the aquilas and such, I like dheneb stone (also may be going by a different name now).

Edit
Troll slayer orange And rakarth flesh.

@alanmckenzie cool deal thanks for the info

One more question was sort of wash should I use?

For red, I use a black/brown wash mix but I think just a brown wash would be fine.
