Getting 2 Battleforces is a very solid start, after that obviously get an HQ. Picking the HQ determines what direction you need to expand. Personally, my lists are Reaver and Hellion based, so my expansions are more reavers, a few boxes of Hellions and Venoms, then deciding what to do with Heavy slots.
Aegis Defense Lines are a good addition too.
Basically a good way to expand the battleforce is to get another battleforce and an HQ.
