Ok, I'm scratchbuilding some heavy artillery, specifically a couple of medusas. The problem is, being just gun carriages with crew GW doesn't make artillery crew any longer. Mt theme is steel legion/death korps. IOW trench coats & gas masks is the general feel. Does anyone have any suggestions as to model kits or WWI/II ranges? For that matter, what model scale infantry is about the right height to look ok as its own unit on the table with GW?

Ooh, those heads look great! Anything to help save he frustrations of painting faces.

Maybe some of the steel legion missile loader guys would work? you know, the part of the team that isn't firing the gun. Thats what I would use. GW should have some on their imperial guard "collectors" page. Or get some for cheap on ebay. Hope that helps.

Oh and also its very hard to find model infantry that matches gw's "heroic" size. Ive seen figs way way way bigger than guardsmen whose guns arent even as big as a lasgun.
