Man, I have been super productive in my new job, painting-wise. This week I finished my Mega Dread, and made an earnest start on my Stompa (which has been in a box for 2 years).

So, Mega-Dread.

I also magnetized the torso, so I could twist it a little for dramatic shots like this.

Now do "Blue Steel"

I magnetized the arms in case I want to go with 2 Rippa Klaws at some point (going with a TL Killkannon seems like kind of a waste of points) and also the hip weapons.

Here's a 3200px wide 4view, which I used the small thumnail for so it doesn't stretch out the thread.

Is 4view a thing? I'm going to try to make that happen. Totally fetch.

Unrelated - I'm rapidly running out of room for all this stuff.

Great looking Mega-Dread. I've always wanted to field a Dread or some Kanz with my boyz because they look so awesome but they seem a bit lackluster in 6th edition. Here's to hoping that the new codex will beef them up a bit.

Impressive collection by the way.

You get propers for the Mean Girls reference, as well as this awesome stompy thing. The chequered pattern is particularly well done - weathered and scrappy without losing definition.

Looks really good to me, like the weathering and magnets are cool. What armies have you got? I see Ultrasmurfs, Blood Ravens? Black Legion, Necrons, Iron Warriors/World Eaters? Imperial Guard and Orks. Boxes on the right for storage or do they still need to be built?

The frog humidifier is pure win. The Mega-Dread is really cool too.

Close (reallt close, impressive). The top shelf is Ultras & Blood Ravens, under that is mechanized orks, then Necrons (yeah, the whole shelf), then Iron Warriors & Khorne Berserkers. The IG is traitor guard, I bought and painted them up for my nephew - he finally took them home about an hour ago so now I have some room there. Under that is footy orks. The boxes on the right are bits, kits in progress, basing supplies, stuff like that. The boxes up top are actually largely empty except for the Land Raiders and the Stormraven and I should throw them out except I'm a hoarder.

really nice dread. very orky where are the flamer bits from? I like 'em, but they're a bit too neat and tidy to fit in the with the rest of the kit

Deff Dread sprue (top right).

I have 2 deff dreads so that worked out. And yeah, they were sort of a rush job - I fielded it today - so I didn't get them as dirty as the rest, especially the checks. I'll likely revisit that.

huh, most interesting. I should have been more clear: the paint job on them is great. its just that the flamers themselves don't seem very ork-like. surprised to see something so clean-cut on an ork sprue. seems like it needs a few rivets and point bits to make it official :p
